Members of the San Gabriel Valley community gathered at M.C. Gill Corporation’s seven building campus in El Monte for a special presentation to the El Monte Cemetery Association. Stephen Gill presented a check towards ongoing maintenance of the Historic Savannah Cemetery located on Valley Boulevard. At the same event Stephen Gill received commendations for his efforts to support the community from the offices of Superintendent Gloria Molina, Senator Gloria Romero, Assemblyman Mike Eng and Rosemead Councilwoman Margaret Clark. Rosemead and El Monte Chamber of Commerce officials were also in attendance. Savannah Memorial Park, founded in 1850, is the resting place of many of the original pioneers of the San Gabriel Valley.

Stephen Gill, Chairman and CEO of M.C. Gill Corporation, is a long-time supporter of the pioneer cemetery located on Valley Boulevard in Rosemead, California. Mr. Gill gave a similar donation to the association in 2007 for a wrought-iron security fence and another donation in 2009 to close their budget shortfall. In recognition, an engraved stone has been placed in the cemetery acknowledging support from Stephen Gill and M. C. Gill Corporation.
