M.C. Gill Corporation Secures Boeing Qualifications

–M.C. Gill Corporation announces
they have completed the
qualification of three additional
Nomex® honeycomb core materials to
Boeing’s BMS 8-124 specification.
These new qualified materials
combined with existing
qualifications to Class 4 (Nomex)
and Class 6 (Kevlar® N636)
materials, means M.C. Gill
Corporation offers a complete line
of honeycomb core to accommodate a
broader range of aircraft
applications.
Gillcore™ HD
Honeycomb is an aramid fiber (Nomex)
reinforced honeycomb material which
is coated with phenolic resin.
Gillcore™ HK Honeycomb is a Kevlar
N636 reinforced honeycomb material.
These materials are used in aircraft
flooring, sidewalls, ceilings and
many other aircraft structures.
M.C.Gill Corporation is currently
qualified to BMS 8-124 Class 4 Types
I, II and V and Class 6, Types V and
VI. This latest achievement includes
Class 4 materials qualified to Type
V, Grade 1.8, (1.8 lb density,
hexagonal cell) Type VI, Grade 1.8
(1.8 density, over-expanded cell)
and Type VI, Grade 3.0 (3.0 density,
over-expanded cell).
