Early products included lamp shades, place mats and table top overlays.

Actress Janet Leigh famous for film roles including The Manchurian Candidate, Psycho, A Touch of Evil with Orson Welles. She was married to Tony Curtis and is mother of Jamie Leigh Curtis. In the 1950s she stopped by M.C. Gill Corporation to model a new line of Gillfab wall covering material.

The Gill family got into the act to show that it was easy to clean plastic wallcoverings.
